PhD, Doctoral Supervisor; Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN), Adjunct Professor and Joint Doctoral Supervisor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Member of the Teaching Steering Committee for Nursing Majors under the Ministry of Education of China. He serves as Dean of the School of Nursing, Wenzhou Medical University and Academic Leader of Nursing Discipline. He is the Principal Investigator of the National‑level First‑Class Undergraduate Major, Zhejiang Provincial First‑Class Discipline, Zhejiang Provincial Off‑campus Practice Base for University Students, and Wenzhou Municipal Teaching Innovation Team.
He holds concurrent academic positions including Standing Committee Member of the Ostomy‑Wound Integrated Nursing Committee, Chinese Anti‑Cancer Association; Member of the Medical Science‑Technology Innovation and Achievement Transformation Committee, China Medical Education Association; Member of the Sub‑committee for Fundamental Nursing Terminology, National Nursing Terminology Authentication Committee; Member of the 6th National Textbook Evaluation Committee for Nursing Majors in Higher Education; Expert Member of the Expert Pool of Nursing Education Committee, Chinese Nursing Association; Vice‑Chairperson of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Committee, Zhejiang Nursing Association; Editorial Board Member of Journal of Nursing and Rehabilitation; and Director of Wenzhou International Ostomy Therapy School.
He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Zhejiang University, Master’s degree in Pathophysiology from Wenzhou Medical University, and Doctoral degree in Nursing from Xi’an Jiaotong University. He has been awarded such talent honours as Zhejiang Provincial Young‑and‑Middle‑Aged Academic Leader in Higher Education Institutions, Outstanding Young Teacher of Zhejiang Provincial Universities, Second‑Tier Candidate and Mentee of Wenzhou “New Century 551 Talent Project”. He has also received recognitions including Wenzhou Outstanding Teacher, Top Ten Outstanding Youth of Dongtou District, University‑level Distinguished Teacher and Excellent Young Teaching Scholar.
In recent years, he has presided over 10 research grants funded at national, provincial and ministerial levels. As the first completer, he won the Second‑Class Award of Science and Technology Prize by Chinese Nursing Association and the First‑Class Award of Science and Technology Prize by Zhejiang Nursing Association. As corresponding or co‑corresponding author, he has published high‑impact academic papers in top international journals including British Journal of Dermatology (IF=11.0), Journal of Advanced Research (IF=17.1), Alzheimers & Dementia (IF=12.8), Chemical Engineering Journal (IF=12.5), and International Journal of Nursing Studies (IF=8.7). He is a recipient of the Wiley China Highly Contribution Author Award. As the first inventor, he has been granted 8 invention patents and 7 utility‑model patents, among which two patents have been industrialized and obtained Class II Medical Device Registration Certificates.
Several of his supervised master’s students have pursued doctoral studies (including one at Peking University). His postgraduate students have won titles of Zhejiang Provincial Outstanding Graduate, and their dissertations have been honoured as Zhejiang Provincial Excellent Master’s Thesis, Zhejiang Provincial Excellent Practical Achievement for Professional Master’s Degree, Top‑100 Excellent Papers of Chinese Nursing Association, as well as University‑level Excellent Master’s Thesis. He has supervised undergraduate students to win nearly 10 gold and first prizes at national and provincial levels in innovation‑entrepreneurship competitions such as “Internet+” and “Challenge Cup”.
