From June 17 to 20, 2025, Huang Yingying, a 2024-grade doctoral candidate, and Yi Ting, a 2023-grade master’s candidate, from our school were invited to attend the 17th International Family Nursing Conference in Perth, Australia — one of the most influential conferences in the global field of family nursing — and delivered keynote speeches. Their outstanding performance on the international academic stage vividly demonstrates the fruitful outcomes of the school’s commitment to advancing the internationalization of graduate education and continuously enhancing the global competitiveness of its graduate students.

Focusing on Family Resilience: Innovative Exploration from a Global PerspectiveDoctoral candidate Huang Yingying delivered a keynote speech entitled Dyadic coping discrepancies in adolescents with chronic diseases and their parents: a latent profile analysis approach. Adopting the latent profile analysis method, this study systematically explored discrepancies in dyadic coping patterns between adolescents with chronic diseases and their parents, and revealed the correlation mechanism between such discrepancies and parent-child psychological adaptation. It provides important theoretical support and practical guidance for developing targeted intervention programs based on family resilience. Her brilliant performance fully reflects the school’s effectiveness in fostering graduate students’ global vision and research innovation capabilities.

Focusing on Adolescent Health Transition: Cutting-edge Methods Driving Research InnovationMaster’s candidate Yi Ting gave a keynote speech titled Configuration Paths Of Treatment Decision-making Participation In Adolescents With Chronic Diseases. Her study innovatively applied the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) method to explore the driving paths of treatment decision-making participation among adolescents with chronic diseases during the healthcare transition period, and accordingly constructed a tripartite "individual-family-healthcare" promotion model for decision-making participation. This achievement offers crucial theoretical basis and practical guidance for formulating targeted intervention strategies in the management of adolescents with chronic diseases during transition. Her ability to use cutting-edge methods to solve complex problems is a vivid embodiment of the school’s innovative training in graduate education.

Internationalization Strategy: A Core Engine Empowering Graduate GrowthThe internationalization of graduate education is one of the core strategies for talent cultivation at the School of Nursing, Wenzhou Medical University. In recent years, adhering to the orientation of "internationalization, innovation and practicality", the school has systematically built a graduate international training system. Through various initiatives including setting up special funds, building international cooperation platforms, recruiting renowned overseas faculty, and encouraging participation in high-level international conferences, it continuously broadens graduate students’ global horizons and enhances their international academic exchange and competitiveness. The remarkable appearance of our graduate students at the Perth conference is a concentrated demonstration of the effectiveness of the school’s international training. They not only confidently presented their research findings in family nursing, but also actively absorbed cutting-edge international concepts and advanced experience, accumulating valuable momentum for their future academic and disciplinary development.
Looking Ahead: Deepening Educational Internationalization and Contributing to Global Health GovernanceThe outstanding performance of our graduate students on the international stage has further strengthened the school’s confidence and determination to advance the internationalization of graduate education. Going forward, the school will continue to increase investment, expand international cooperation networks, strengthen the cultivation of graduate students’ research and practical abilities, and strive to foster more outstanding nursing talents with global vision and patriotic dedication. It will contribute more to serving national strategies and advancing global health governance.
