On the morning of November 20, 2024, a symposium on doctoral cooperation was successfully held between our college and the Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University of Thailand, in Meeting Room 7C306. Moderated by Vice Dean Dong Chaoqun of our college, representatives from both sides conducted extensive and in-depth exchanges on core topics including academic cooperation potential, faculty qualification improvement, and future research directions.
At the outset of the meeting, Dean Cai Fuman extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University, and envisioned broad prospects for future doctoral-level cooperation between the two sides. In response, Dean Pornchai Jullamate of the Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University, highly recognized the fruitful achievements of the China-Thailand master's program cooperation between the two institutions and expressed sincere expectations for more breakthrough accomplishments in future cooperation.
In terms of academic exchange and cooperation, both sides held in-depth discussions on the cultivation and sharing of doctoral supervisors, and jointly emphasized the vital importance of building a high-quality faculty team to ensure the quality of postgraduate education. Meanwhile, the two parties conducted preliminary exploration on potential future research directions and exchanged views on strengthening international cooperation and exchanges. Both sides reached a consensus that the internationalization of education and research is an inevitable trend of the times, and the demand for high-caliber talents will keep growing; thus, enhancing bilateral cooperation and exchanges is of great significance.
During the meeting, the two sides also conducted extensive discussions on further promoting the cooperation and development of China-Thailand nursing education. Both indicated that this meeting not only deepened mutual understanding and trust, but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. Adhering to the principles of openness, inclusiveness and mutual benefit and win-win results, the two sides will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation, and jointly promote the vigorous development of China-Thailand nursing education.
At the end of the meeting, Dean Pornchai Jullamate presented Thai characteristic gifts to the leaders of our college, expressing cherished regard for the friendship and cooperation between the two sides. The successful convening of this meeting not only demonstrated the positive attitude and firm determination of the School of Nursing, Wenzhou Medical University and the Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University towards doctoral cooperation, but also injected new vitality and momentum into the cooperation and development of China-Thailand nursing education. The two sides will join hands to jointly write a new chapter in China-Thailand educational cooperation.
