On the afternoon of May 18th, Dr. Chen Ruofei from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK) and Director Hu Aidi from the National University Eye Centre Singapore (NUEC), along with their delegation, visited our college for exchange. Vice Deans Huang Xiaoqiong and Dong Chaoqun of the School of Nursing, Deputy Director Huang Tianye of the Teaching Affairs Office, and relevant teachers specializing in optometric nursing attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Vice Dean Huang Xiaoqiong extended a warm welcome to Dr. Chen Ruofei, Director Hu Aidi and their delegation. She briefed the guests on the School of Nursing in terms of its general overview, talent cultivation, teaching resources, international cooperation and social services. She emphasized that the school has been actively expanding international exchanges and cooperation, exploring diverse channels such as joint education and scientific research collaboration, building an international nursing platform, and promoting the school's high-quality internationalization. Vice Dean Dong Chaoqun conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the school's continuously innovative joint education models, proposed student and faculty exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, and joint training of doctoral students, aiming to provide faculty and students with high-quality educational resources and broader international development opportunities.

Subsequently, participants from both sides held in-depth discussions on guest faculty appointment, talent cultivation and academic exchanges, laying a platform for nurturing talents with international perspectives and global competitiveness.

This meeting promoted in-depth exchanges between our college, Manchester Metropolitan University and the National University Eye Centre Singapore, and laid a solid foundation for future international development and cooperation.
