The undergraduate education of the Midwifery Program aims to cultivate high-level midwifery professionals who are mother-and-child health-centered. These professionals are capable of providing health care for women, health services for mothers and infants, as well as nursing care and health consultation for women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the puerperium.
Through the study of midwifery-related courses, students will acquire basic theoretical knowledge and skills in midwifery, gynecology, maternal and child health care, etc. They will be able to adapt to social and health care development, meet the needs of China's talent development strategy, and possess the professional competence required to engage in medical and health care work for women and children in Grade A tertiary specialized hospitals, general hospitals at all levels, maternal and child health care hospitals, scientific research institutions, and educational establishments.
